![]() ![]() If you decided to add a Modi, you could do this: to get it set so you can push the switcher and just transition between headphones and speakers with no worries, but it is possible. You'd have to tinker with the balance between Sys gain, Magni gain, etc. This system would let you use the Loki+ for both headphones and speakers. Mani->Loki+->Sys->Magni/Aegir->Headphones and speakers (respectively and separately) If there's x/y->z, it means both x and y are being sent to z. If there's x->y/z, it means that output from x is split to y/z. I'm going to offer a wire guide where x->y means that cables from x output lead to y input. Instead, I often suggest using passive pre-amps like the Sys to separate those systems and reduce the likelihood of blowing up a component. I usually suggest against using amps as pre-amps for that reason. However, because the volume knob controls the headphone amp as well as acts as the pre-amp, it may be very easy to forget you have the knob cranked up and plug in headphones, blowing out a driver or your ear drums. The Magni does offer the ability to act as a pre-amp if the headphone cable is unplugged. Keep these assumptions in mind, as advice could differ depending on any of those failing. I'll also make the assumption that you want to minimize the chance of damage to your headphones and/or ears. This setup depends on how you want to use the Loki, but I'll assume you want expanded options, not limited options. So, this may or may not be what you were looking for, but I'll try to provide as holistic a response as possible without further details of your plans: ![]()
